Week 03 Photographer - Maryia Ramanava

Maryia Ramanava is a photographer from Geneva who does contemporary work as well as commercial portraiture. She uses a variety of muted color schemes in her photos, and often uses a blurring effect to change the mood of the setting. I really enjoy the aesthetics of her contemporary pieces.

Week 02 Photographer - Lorenzo Scudiero

Lorenzo Scudiero is a photographer and filmmaker from Italy; his work contains a lot of portrait and landscape photography done in analogue film. He tries to capture different ways of seeing things,  and places more value on portraying something in a unique way than portraying a unique subject. I really enjoy his work and the aesthetic that he creates through the usage of analogue film. His experience in film is evident in his photos; they have a cinematographic aspect. Many of the portraits seem very natural feel like they could be right out of your memory, but with a bit of an added fantastical effect. The way he shows things from unusual perspectives is one of his best strengths as a photographer.
